Does my phone support eSIM?
Two requirements: your phone must support eSIM, and it must be carrier-unlocked.
📱 30-second self check
- Open the phone dialer and enter *#06#
- If an "EID" field (a long number) appears → your phone supports eSIM
- No EID shown → not supported; please do not purchase an eSIM plan
This is the most reliable check — more accurate than any model list.
🔓 Make sure your phone is carrier-unlocked
Even if your phone supports eSIM, a carrier-locked phone cannot use another operator's eSIM. Phones bought on contract or installment plans are often locked.
- iPhone: Settings → General → About → "Carrier Lock" should say "No SIM restrictions"
- Android: insert a SIM card from another carrier — if it gets signal, the phone is unlocked
- When in doubt, ask your carrier directly
✅ Common eSIM-compatible devices
Apple iPhone
- iPhone XS / XS Max / XR (2018) and all later models
- iPhone SE (2nd gen, 2020) and later
⚠️ iPhones sold in mainland China do not support eSIM; some Hong Kong/Macau models (SE, 12/13 mini) do. If purchased outside Taiwan, verify with *#06# first.
Samsung Galaxy
- All Z Fold / Z Flip models
- S-series flagships (Taiwan retail from S23)
- Note20 series (some regional variants)
⚠️ Samsung support varies greatly by region — the same model may lack eSIM in another country. Always verify with *#06#.
Google Pixel
- Pixel 3 and all later models
⚠️ Some older Pixels limit hotspot sharing while using eSIM.
Other brands
- OPPO: Find X3 Pro and later flagships
- Sony: Xperia 1 IV / 10 IV and later
- Xiaomi: 12T Pro, 13 series and later (some markets)
- Recent flagships from ASUS, vivo, Motorola and others
Model lists are for reference only — always confirm with the manufacturer's official specs and the *#06# check.
🚫 Unsupported / not recommended devices
- Carrier-locked phones (under contract, not unlocked)
- Phones sold in mainland China (eSIM is usually disabled)
- Wi-Fi routers, translators, tablets (our plans target phones)
- Counterfeit, modified, or grey-market phones of unknown origin
- Devices with modified systems (dual-app / dual-boot mods)
